Soon you'll be able to do that in your spare time. :) And I know what sojourn means thanks to Magic, so ha. ;)

Beautiful. I love this city, and I've traversed many of the paths you wrote about here. My favourite line: "try on the person I might have been if I'd never left". I've had too many experiences moving away from and back to places I grew up to really want to imagine the person I'd be if I never left. But it's a wonderful image regardless. You've really come into your own as a writer; I continue to enjoy everything you post.

And I can only assume the first comment here is your fiancee -- if he really learned what "sojourn" meant because of Magic, that is AWESOME. Half the terms I learned as a child came out of Star Trek.

:) I love my secret Toronto too. Except my secret Toronto is probably more like my secret North York.

right now I dont have a job and I wish everytime that I'm on my way out - that I was on my way to work! Grass is always greener and you need to be busy in order to appreciate and capitalize on free time. Lovely "pretend we were two years younger" I dread the day when that two turns to 20!
